    Seamus Nolan, Director

    Seamus is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years experience in Highway Design, Traffic and Transportation Planning. He has been involved in a number of large road projects, gaining a wide range of experience in different aspects of road design, from planning through to construction, working for both the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in the delivery of key highway infrastructure for private developments including major industrial, commercial, residential and retail developments. His experience in the delivery of road schemes over the years allows him to apply his cost management expertise to all NRB’s projects. Seamus has also given expert evidence at oral hearings and arbitrations. Prior to NRB Consulting Engineers, Seamus worked with Waterman Boreham Transport Planning and spent the early years of his career with Arup in Dublin. Seamus graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Civil Engineering and subsequently completed Postgraduate Diplomas in Highway & Geotechnical Engineering and Physical Planning in Trinity College Dublin.

    Eoin Reynolds, Director

    Originally from Wexford, Eoin has over 30 years experience in a wide range of civil engineering projects. He specialises in the field of Traffic Impact Assessment & Transportation Assessment and Road Safety. Eoin is a Chartered Member of both Engineers Ireland and the Institution of Highways & Transportation. Eoin provides advice to both private and public sector clients on all aspects of roads, traffic and transportation. He is expert in the use of Traffic Engineering Modelling Software (TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT, Micro-simulation and TRIPS). He is a noted Professional/Expert Witness in the field of Traffic/Roads & Road Safety. He has given expert evidence at planning appeals, oral hearings, legal cases and Public Inquiries. Eoin was previously Director of the Irish office of Waterman Boreham Transport Planning and prior to that was Manager for the Belfast office of JMP Consultants Ltd.

    Paul Burke, Director

    Paul has over 20 years experience in roads design and is responsible for the day to day running and co-ordination of projects. Paul is directly involved in all aspects of the business from liaison with relevant Planners, Councils, Contractors and Clients to the technical output and has to ensure Quality compliance and delivery of the projects on time and within budget. He is also heavily involved in monitoring projects which are on site and dealing with issues as and when they arise. Paul has mainly been involved in road, retail and residential projects, gaining a range of experience in different aspects of road and services design, from feasibility through to construction, working principally for the private sector. Paul has significant experience in providing direct advice to clients on the layout of service yards, traffic signal controlled, priority controlled and roundabout junctions, and multi-storey and surface car parks.

    Brian is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over18 years’ experience in planning, design and management of traffic and transportation projects. Brian’s experience in traffic engineering and transport planning equips him with the tools and knowledge to effectively and efficiently deliver our clients’ requirements on projects ranging in size and complexity, from scheme concept, planning, through to detailed design and construction.

    Brian has been involved in a wide variety of projects in both the public and private sector and has gained significant technical experience and skills in the following areas: transport planning; traffic modelling; traffic management; urban roads and street design; cycle scheme design; road safety audits; local transport plans and strategies.

    He has extensive experience in the preparation of planning applications, working on various types of developments comprising large commercial, private, industrial, public residential, educational, and mixed-use developments. He is an expert in the application of software packages such as ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and the TRICS trip generation database. Brian is an experienced Road Safety Auditor, TII approved, with over 200 RSA’s undertaken within Ireland and the UK.
